In 1843, Hans Christian Andersen published The Ugly Duckling. The tale ends when the duckling sees himself in the water and discovers he was always a swan. This set begins there, the day after.
The black swan is real. It lives far from here, it is rare, and for centuries Europe believed it did not exist. It is the swan for those who have grown up: the same Danish duvet, from the maker that has worked with fine down since 1947, now for the grown up bed.
The cover is black, in 400 thread count sateen, envelope style with white buttons. Slightly smaller than the duvet, on purpose, so it always looks full and stays in place through the night. Sewn in the state of São Paulo.
The box holds two pillowcases, one black and one white. Side by side, the two halves of the same tale.
